Fandangling Review & Giveaway

Fandangling Review & Giveaway
Fandangling is a mom invented company that has actually made what the rest of us have only thought about: stuffed animals that dangle from your ceiling fan blades to create an awesome mobile for babies and kids. Simple yet brilliant, right? I was surprised when I found this company online since I really have thought about this but never done it. She beat me to it, and by golly, she's made a really fun room decoration with great entertainment value for babies!

If you've had a baby yet, you know that they love things that go "round" and especially fans. Mobiles that attach to cribs can be expensive, annoying to keep winding up, and get to be a problem once the baby's mobile and can grab the pieces. Fandangling provides a really fun alternative that will outlast the crib stage and even be cheaper than most crib mobiles.

We were sent the Pink Underwater Adventure kit that contains the five animals below, fan attachment supplies, and instructions. The kit's very easy to put together: basically, you wipe off any dirt that's on your fan blades, put some velcro down, and stick the animals on! Once you turn the fan on (LOW speed), it'll be transformed into a room sized mobile.

We haven't had a problem with anything staying stuck, nor with any animals flying away. :-) LoveBug really enjoys anything having to do with a fan, so this is a great way to engage her at 17-months-old. The colors in the kit are brilliant, and many different kit themes as well as a "design your own" and bigger kits for kids (rather than babies) are available. Considering that it's all done by velcro, it'd be easy to interchange the pieces between kits for more variety throughout your child's growing up years!

The only thing I'd like to see Fandangling develop further is the ability to position the animals/pieces in a way that the baby can see the sides/top better rather than the bottoms only if he's laying directly underneath the fan. Can I recommend Fandangling? YES! It requires no batteries, no extra room, no winding up, and doesn't cost any more than a regular mobile at a department store. This will last forever and give your kids loads of fun--and the coolest room of all their friends!

Buy It! Visit http://www.fandangling.com/. Each kit is $19.95 plus shipping ($3.00 within the US, $5.00 outside).

Win It! Fandangling is giving one of my readers the Fandangling kit of her choice! Just visit their website at http://www.fandangling.com/ and let me know which kit you want. Choose carefully--that's what you'll be getting if you win. :-) Be sure to leave an email address and separate comment for each entry below! Contest will end on or after May 7th, 2010 at noon, EST.
